Club Getaway is like kids camp for adults, with all the good and none of the bad. If you went to sleep away camp as a kid, take all the great things about it…..the fun sports and activities, the lake, learning new things, the friendships made, the food, the outdoors, the fun, the freedom and double it, it is all there, AND, add live music, dancing, NYC nightclub-like evening entertainment, a BAR, and NO CURFEW!   Take all the bad things about kids camp….the lousy metal beds, cramped quarters, 20 people to a bathroom, bossy counselor, being told what to do and when to do it, slop for food, and a curfew…..and throw it out the window.  Nobody will tell you what to do and when to do it.  There are only 4 people to a room with private bathroom and beds are memory foam mattresses and cabins have heat and air conditioning.  The food is fabulous, the activities are a blast, and you never played flip-cup or keg softball at kids camp.

It is in the Connecticut Berkshires, near Kent, CT, on 300 beautiful private lakeside acres.  It is about a 3 hour drive from Boston.

Are you a sports freak?
Come play tennis with a new pal, or join a team for some soccer or a golf lesson. There’s volleyball, beach volleyball, softball, kickball, dodgeball, basketball…basically, BALL!
Seeking an adrenaline rush?
Lace up for road biking, mountain biking, waterskiing, wakeboarding, stand-up paddle boarding, canoeing, kayaking, or swimming. Not enough? Head to boot camp, cardio kickboxing, rock climbing, technical rock climbing, rock rappelling, or let it hang flying on a zip line.
Fitness fanatic?
Stretch out in yoga and then choose from Zumba, fitness trails, hiking trails, scenic biking to get in your best shape and top it all with a massage.
More of a socializer?
Join an Improv session, or head for a hip-hop class. We’ve also got Ultimate Frisbee, wine tasting, burlesque/salsa classes, cooking/mixology classes, squash-buckling, archery, Poker, giant swings, Geronimo, and an Aerial Park to get high with new friends.
Cocktail much?
Welcome drinkers. We’ve got a Pub Hike and rounds of Flip Cup, Beer Pong, Bloody Mary Bingo, Slap Cup after which Cards Against Humanities, Arts and Crafts, Slip & Slide, Slip & Slide Kickball, and Color War are going to be so much fun.

Both, but really geared more to singles.   There are only a few cabins for 2 people, most are for 4 people.  Although it would be fine for 2 couples to request to share a quad cabin together, but we cannot put a couple in a quad cabin with others unless all 4 request.    
Some people come with a friend or two, or even a small group, and MANY come solo. You will meet many new friends whether coming alone or with a friend.

If going solo, we will match you with same gender, same age (close as possible), smoker/non-smoker cabin mates.  We do not match opposite genders, unless requested by all  cabin mates.    Single rooms are not an option at Club Getaway though, sorry.  For couples, there are a limited number of cabins for 2 at an additional cost.

Of course!  Many people come to Club Getaway solo.   We match cabin mates, by gender, and its instant friends.    If you want to meet new people, make new friends, going solo is a great way to go.

Yes, it is fantastic for small or large groups.  Many folks try to fill at least one cabin of 4 friends.  If more then 4, we will arrange cabins to be right next to each other, basically adjoining.

Age varies from weekend to weekend, but the sports weekends usually draw a mix between 25-45.   You will see some younger, some older, but the majority will be in the 25-45 range.

Well, it is different for each person.  You can be as active as you like, going from one sporting activity to the next all day, or, you can veg by the lake with a Pina Colada listening to reggae music.  Or a combination.  There will be a schedule of events listed and you pick and chose.  There are usually 3-5 activities planned every hour.   There could be from 8-9AM yoga, rock climbing, tennis clinic, hike, and volleyball clinic; 9-10AM rappelling, mt biking, archery, road bike, golf clinic, ropes course, zip line;  10-11AM basketball tournament, lake swim, spin class, Pub hike, learn to play poker, cooking class, and salsa lessons.  You get the idea.  And all day there is the lake with water skiing, paddleboarding, kayaking, swimming, and water inflatable’s etc. and then there are group events like slip and slide kickball, the famous keg softball game, poker tournaments, trivia by the lake, and of course, Color War!  Again, it is totally up to you to join in whatever you like.  There is so much to do; you won’t be able to do it all.  And that’s just before lunch!

For evening activities, after dinner there is a nightclub-like dance hall with a NYC DJ, or live music and dancing until the wee hours.  Often there is entertainment as well, like a comedian, or performer.  Saturday night around midnight there is of course the huge bonfire with S’mores.  There is lit basketball and volleyball.  You just might not go to bed!
