  • Is this for singles or couples?

Both.  Most of the people on all of our trips are single.  We do get couples as well, but mostly singles.  Some come with a friend or two, and MANY come solo.  That is why our trips work.   They are great for everybody.  You will meet many new friends whether coming alone, with a friend, or even a significant other.

  • Can I go solo?

Of course!  Many of our travelers go solo, that is why our trips work!  We match roommates so you do not have to pay a single room supplement, and it’s an instant friend.   We send along a trip leader/s to gather folks to ski, après, dine, nightlife, sightsee, together.  Trips are not cliquey.  If you want to meet new people, make new friends, going solo is a great way to go.  We don’t make you do anything, but if you want to meet and hang with others, it is there for you.  If you want to do your own thing, that is okay as well.

  • What is the age range? Are they all 20s- early 30s?

Age varies from trip to trip, but on vacations the age range is more in the 35-50 age range.  Some older, some younger, but the majority will be in the 35-50 range.  Some of the weekend trips and sports leagues age range is more 20’s and 30’s.

  • What are the sleeping arrangements?

If we are staying in a hotel, it will be typical hotel, with 2 beds and two people per room.  If going solo, we will match you with a same gender, same age (close as possible), smoker/non-smoker roommate.  We do not match opposite genders, unless requested by both people.  OR you may request to be matched up with a friend or significant other as you wish, of any gender.  You may also chose to pay for a single room at an extra cost, based on availability.

If we are staying in condos there is typically a queen bed in one bedroom and two twin beds in the other bedrooms.  If going solo, we will match you with a same gender, same age (close as possible), smoker/non-smoker roommate in the room with two twin beds.  We try to put couples in the bedroom with the queen bed.  We do not match opposite genders, unless requested by both people.  You may request to be matched up with a friend or significant other as you wish, of any gender, and request either the two twin beds or the queen bed.   You may also chose to pay for a single room at an extra cost, based on availability, and you will have condo mates.

  • I snore/what if my roommate snores?

If you know you snore, you may want to be considerate and pay to get yourself a single room, or bring earplugs for your roommate.  If you are worried about your roommate snoring, you may want to consider paying for a single room or bringing ear plugs.  A single room is extra cost, based on availability.

  • Will there be people to ski with?

From intermediate to advanced, chances are very good there will be many people that ski at your level.  The trip leader/s will arrange for those interested to ski together on the first morning to match up with same-level ability, and to make sure nobody is skiing alone that does not want to ski alone.  Beginners may want to sign up for lessons.

  • Should I rent or bring my own skis/board/boots?

This is a personal choice.   For sports baggage, we are at the mercy of the airlines baggage regulations.  You should check their website for up-to-date regulations.

For domestic it is usually about $70 to bring your skis/boards and boots roundtrip as your 2nd checked bag.

International/Europe is considerably more.  About $600 rondtrip on some airlines.

Rentals are usually around $30-50 a day…so could be about $300 to rent for the week.  More for demos.

We recommend bringing your boots even if you rent.

So, check the airlines current policies, do the math, weigh the convenience of bringing with the convenience of renting and you decide.  There are rental shops close by, just google ski rentals in your resort.  If you rent online there is usually a discount.

  • Can I extend my trip longer?

Yes.  If you’d like to stay longer we can likely extend your return flight.  There is a deviation fee to do so, usually about $150 and you can return from the same gateway airport at a later date.  You would be on your own to find hotel rooms, get to the airport, etc.  Or you can take a ‘No Air’ discount off the trip price and make your own flight arrangements as you wish and meet us there.
