    Round Robin Tournament Rules

    General Rules

Each team will have 3 scheduled games. The team with the best record after pool play concludes will advance to the playoff bracket. Teams have 20 minutes to complete their game before moving on to the next scheduled match. Should there be a delay, teams have up to an hour after the tournament to make-up their game and record the score. All teams should make their best effort to stick to the posted schedule as to not delay other games in the tournament.

Seeding for tournaments will be randomized.

The Home team is responsible for:

    - Creating the head 2 head lobby and inviting the opponent to the match
    - Recording the score after the game.

    Picking Teams

Every player is allowed to pick their preferred CLUB team. Teams can be picked before the start of the game. Players are allowed to use multiple teams throughout the tournament as they please. It is accepted to have the same teams play against each other (e.g. Barcelona). In that case, the ‘away’ player will have to pick the Away Jersey for that team. In general, ‘away’ players are responsible for picking the jersey that does not resemble the home team jersey.

    FIFA 20

    Format Rules

Games played via Online Friendly mode
        Half length: 6 minutes
        Controls: Any
        Difficulty/Skill Level: Professional
        Game Speed: Normal
        Stadium: Home team stadium
        Squad Type: Online

    *Note:

Do not choose Squad Type “Custom”
Any setting not listed above should not be changed from the game’s default setting option.

    Match-up Process

Once registration closes, tournament administrators will create the full tournament schedule, post it online, and email participants to know it is available.
The participant who is scheduled as the home team (the team listed with an (H)) will invite the away participant to a FIFA H2H match-up.
The winning participant is responsible for recording the score on the schedule or reporting it to the tournament administrator. (Details provided in pre-tournament email).

    Event Details (Round Robin)

Each team will be scheduled to play 3 other teams
The teams with the best record at the end of pool play will advance to playoffs
Seeding for these tournaments will be randomized

Should there be a tie in the final standings, the following tie-breakers will be used:

    - Tiebreaker 1: Head to Head
    - Tiebreaker 2: Point Differential
    - Tiebreaker 3: Goals Scored

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------

*If a participant forfeits a match, the score will be recorded as 3-0

    Prize Details

Payout structure will vary based on the tournament. Please be sure to review payout structure prior to registering for each tournament.

Disconnection Rules / Unable to Connect

We highly recommend recording video and/or taking a screenshot of any game disconnection evidence in case of a dispute.
If a game is disconnected, and a tournament official is there to observe, then tournament officials will determine if the game state can be restored to a similar point.
If a game is disconnected, and a tournament official IS NOT there to observe, then the competitors will use their judgment on how to restart the game. If the two competitors cannot agree, then the game should be resumed with an implied score and the remaining time in the match played out.

Example: A game disconnects at the 50th minute and the score of the game was 2-1 - the game is to resume in 1st half with the implied score to be 2-1 and the implied half to be the 2nd. The competitors will play until halftime to determine the winner.

The following scoring parameters will determine a winner, in the event of a disconnect, if the competitors cannot agree on a solution.

A Competitor has a 7 or greater point lead at any point in the first half.
A Competitor has a 5 or greater point lead at the 75-minute

If teams are unable to connect due to technical difficulties - i.e. the game continues to time out when attempting to create a match after several attempts, it should be recorded as a 0-0 draw. Some systems simply don't play nice with others. Just sit tight and wait for your next match.

    Sportsmanship Details

Unsportsmanlike activities including (but not limited to) trolling, cheating, and bullying will not be tolerated. Participants who cannot follow this rule will be eliminated from registered tournaments (without refund), and banned from upcoming tournaments. Examples of these offenses are:

        Offsides glitching
Repeatedly committing penalties to slow the game down
Verbal or written abuse via any communication platform
        Disconnection glitching

The result of a Competitor’s disconnection from a match depends on whether the disconnection was intentional. Whether or not a disconnection is deemed intentional or unintentional is in the sole discretion of the tournament officials.

    Madden 20

    Picking Teams

Every player is allowed to pick their preferred team. Teams can be picked before the start of the game. Players are allowed to use multiple teams throughout the tournament as they please. It is accepted to have the same teams play against each other (e.g. Giants v Giants). In that case, the ‘away’ player will have to pick the Away Jersey for that team. In general, ‘away’ players are responsible for picking the jersey that does not resemble the home team jersey.

    Format Rules

Games played via Madden Head to Head (H2H) mode
    Quarter length: 4 minutes
    Play clock: 40 Seconds
    Skill Level: All-Pro
    Accelerated Clock: Off
    Injuries: On
    Even Teams: Off
    Fatigue: On

If you play the game past halftime and initiate a dispute based on fatigue being off, your claim will automatically be considered invalid.

No faking kicks or punts; however, a team MAY go for it on 4th down from a non-special teams formation. If the ball is turned over, during an attempted fake, the rule is void. If the fake is successful, the player forfeits the match.

No onside kick until the 2nd half. If the ball is not recovered, the rule is void. If a player performs an onside kick and recovers in the first half, the player forfeits the match.

    *Note:

Any setting not listed above should not be changed from the game’s default setting option.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------

*If a participant forfeits a match, the score will be recorded as 21-0

We highly recommend recording video and/or taking a screenshot of any game disconnection evidence in case of a dispute.

If a game is disconnected, and a tournament official IS NOT there to observe, then the competitors will use their judgment on how to restart the game. If the two competitors cannot agree, then the competitors must finish the remaining time of the match, keeping the score the same as it was in the game that got disconnected.

Example: If the disconnection occurred at the end of the 1st quarter, the new game should be played until the end of the 3rd quarter.

Example: A player disconnects at the 0:20 mark of the 3rd quarter with possession of the ball on the 50-yard line. The score of the game was 20-14. The game is to restart in the 1st quarter with the implied score to be 20-14 and the implied quarter to be the 3rd. The competitors will play until halftime to determine the winner

The following scoring parameters will determine a winner, in the event of a disconnect, if the competitors cannot agree on a solution.

A Competitor has a 32 or greater point lead at any point in the first half.
A Competitor has a 25 or greater point lead AND the disadvantaged Competitor has had at least one opportunity to possess the ball in the second half
A competitor has an 18 or greater point lead by the 2-minute warning of the second half.
