5 Ways to Stay Active this Winter

Winter in Boston can be a tough road. For young professionals who like to get out and stay active, the shuttering of outdoor patios, rough weather and early nightfall can be a difficult pill to swallow. Instead of resorting to treadmill runs and giving up your sun-soaked happy hours for nights watching Netflix in your cozies... consider these five ways we have up our sleeve to keep you active and social all winter long.

1. Indoor Softball
Nothing says summer like softball, but you don’t have to give it up just because of dropping temps.  Indoor softball games are fast-paced nights with the perfect mix of adrenaline and socialization. 2. Coed & Men's Basketball
For those looking for something that’ll really make you sweat, BSSC’s Basketball Leagues are dripping with options. We focus on high-quality facilities and convenient locations like Waltham, Watertown and South Boston. Men's and Coed Basketball games can get intense and competitive, so they’re a great way to sweat off the extra holiday pounds.

3. Indoor Soccer
Who doesn’t have fond memories of playing soccer as a kid? BSSC has the largest adult recreational soccer organization in New England, and there are tons of options for any player and skill level. More than 225 teams will play with us this winter in some of the best indoor facilities in the Greater Boston area. You can select your skill level and choose to play as an individual or enter your own team of friends & co-workers in a BSSC Indoor Soccer League.

4. Day Ski & Snowboard Trips
Getting out of town for a quick ski trip is just what the doctor ordered this winter! BSSC takes all the hassle out of ski & snowboard trips, providing transportation and lift tickets at a rock bottom price—less than the cost of a lift ticket alone! If you have a group, register together and leave the logistics to us. Skiing solo? This is the perfect way to get to the mountain and make new friends along the way. The BSSC schedule runs thru April and includes trips to Sunday River, Loon, Killington, Jay Peak and more.

5. Flag Football
You spend Sundays watching the NFL, but how about getting in the game a bit yourself? Adult coed football is played on turf fields all winter long, giving you a chance to meet new people, get some exercise and get off the couch & out of the house!
