Chris Wagner Partners with Harpoon Brewery To Bring ‘Don’t Poke the Bear' Black and Gold-en Ale

There’s nothing quite like late-season hockey, and to celebrate the push for the playoffs Harpoon Brewery teamed up with B’s forward and Massachusetts native, Chris Wagner, to brew a special seasonal beer that is the perfect companion for game night: Don’t Poke the Bear.

Brewed with a touch of black honey and Golden Promise malt, Don’t Poke the Bear is a crushable 5.14% ABV black and gold-en ale with a bright hoppy nose and just a faint hint of sweetness.

For every case of the brew sold, a portion of proceeds will be donated to the Corey C. Griffin Foundation, the charity of Wags’ choice, which provides financial support to Boston non-profits focused on underprivileged youth and those with medical challenges.

Don’t Poke the Bear will be available on draft and in 16 oz. 4-packs. It will be available through the rest of the season at Harpoon’s Boston Beer Hall, the TD Garden, and throughout New England where Harpoon beers are distributed. For more information, check out the Harpoon beer finder:
