Looking for Fun Weekend Trips from Boston?

Weekend getaways are the perfect way to recharge, rejuvenate, and add a little excitement or relaxation to your life. However, busy young professionals often have very little time to plan these mini-vacations, and travel agencies can be costly. Fortunately, Boston Ski and Sports Club offers a variety of weekend getaways that appeal to just about everyone. Here are some of the best upcoming opportunities.

Beginners Mountain Biking
On Saturday June 23, BSSC members will gather at Highland Park for a weekend dedicated to beginners’ downhill mountain biking. Just north of Concord, NH, Highland Mountain Bike Park is well-known as the absolute best in terms of coaching and riding. You'll have access to highly-trained coaches who will help you learn basic riding skills, as well as access to some of the absolute best and most beautiful trails in the country. It’s a one-day adventure that includes mountain bike rental, an all-day lift pass, a one-hour clinic for beginners, and protective gear - plus cool sway from CLIF Bar!

Adult Summer Camp
If you attended summer camps during your childhood, then you can probably remember the fun in the sun and on the water, making new friends, and getting into some excellent adventures. BSSC helps to recreate that feeling with its adult summer camp weekend trip that runs from July 13 to July 15. Camp “counselors” are on-site to make things as fun as possible, and you will have access to everything from sporting activities and fun competitions to amazing food and even late-night parties. Events include Bloody Mary Bingo, nightly happy hours by the lake, keg softball, bubble soccer, and much, much more.

Whitewater Rafting
For the true thrill-seekers who feel happiest when the adrenaline flows, the whitewater rafting weekend trip is sure to please. It takes place on the Penobscot River in Maine from August 17 to August 19, and the weekend provides a variety of outdoor activities like camping, swimming, hiking, and more. The rapids themselves range from level three to level five, and thanks to excellent guides, even beginners are welcome. There are bathrooms with showers and a restaurant on-site, so you can enjoy some of the comforts of home, too.

Pats Football at Miami in Florida
Decembers in Boston are downright cold, and by the time December 10th rolls around, there’s a good chance you’ll be ready for some sunshine. Join BSSC members and Pats fans as they travel down to Hallandale, Florida to watch the New England Patriots take on the Miami Dolphins. Pre and post-game partying is on the agenda, and there’s time for you to check out the sights on your own, as well. You can head out on an air boat trip in the Everglades or even check out Miami and South Beach for some hot nightlife!

If you are in need of a getaway, but planning time away just seems like too much work, Boston Ski and Sports Club has numerous weekend trips planned for the rest of 2018. Whether you’re interested in getting some serious exercise on a mountain bike, reliving your childhood at summer camp, getting some white knuckles on whitewater rapids, or checking out an NFL Football game, there’s something here for everyone.
