Looking to kick off the ski season with a bang? What better way than to join BSSC for an exhilarating 2-day adventure to celebrate Sunday River’s birthday and their Winterfest Weekend! It’s all about fun on snow, plus a plethora of activities to celebrate, like the torchlight parade, SR’s birthday party, and fireworks! And with cutting-edge snowmaking, the resort boasts some of the best early-season trails and terrain. You’ll stay slope-side at the luxurious Grand Summit Resort, which features an outdoor heated pool and hot tubs, a fitness room, an arcade, and a restaurant. Each room is well-equipped with linens, flat-screen HDTVs, and full or mini-kitchens (except in standard rooms), plus hairdryers and coffee makers. Whether you’re hitting the slopes solo, with a partner, friends, or family, we’ll do our best to accommodate your needs.

Please note that you must purchase your lift tickets directly through Sunday River. Upon registration with BSSC, you will receive a group discount for your lift tickets, which will range from 5% to 15% off the online price, depending on when you purchase them. The earlier you purchase, the bigger your savings.

Lift Tickets
Sunday River has instituted dynamic pricing for lift tickets, an online-only purchase of lift tickets and the price changes with demand. Meaning, the closer to the trip date, the more expensive they will be. BSSC is not able to procure your lift tickets, BUT, you will get a group discount on your online purchase. The discount also changes, from 5-15% OFF the online price, so the earlier you purchase your tickets, the bigger the savings. You will receive a code to use after you register for the trip for lift tickets and rentals.
Rentals & Lessons
We will send you a code that you may use to receive a discounted rate directly with Sunday River.
Arrival Day Friday
Arrive anytime on Friday at your leisure. Rooms may not be ready until 6pm. Check in at front desk for keys. Drop off your skis/boards in the 2nd floor ski-check room. Enjoy the evening at your own leisure.
Saturday
Roll out of bed at your leisure. Enjoy breakfast on your own. Restaurants available at hotel, cafeterias at the base lodges, or enjoy breakfast in your room.
Trip leader will organize meet up time in the morning for skiing and riding if you so choose to join. If enough snow (there usually is by this time), enjoy the slopes and lifts right out the back door of hotel, true ski in-ski out. If not, there are free shuttles to other base areas.
Trip leader will organize a meet up time in the afternoon for lunch and to hook up with others for skiing and riding or explore on your own. There are many places to choose from at the various base lodges.
Ski at your leisure and return to the hotel as you wish. Trip leader will organize time and place for an après ski bar and/or hot tub.
Trip leader will organize time and place for dinner and nighttime entertainment or enjoy on your own. There is a plethora of restaurants and clubs in the area and the nearby town of Bethel
Sunday
Roll out of bed at your leisure. Breakfast on your own. Same as Saturday.
CHECK OUT!! – Return keys to front desk and pay any room charges. Note: contactless checkout procedures will also be in place.
Trip leader will organize meet up time in the morning for skiing and riding and a time and place for lunch or enjoy on your own. You may use the pool area all day for showering and changing before departing.

Health Safety Standards/COVID Policies
BSSC recognizes that COVID-19 is still a challenging situation for all of us. We will continue to follow the standards set by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the states we are traveling to, to help ensure the health of our community as best as possible. We recommend that you be fully vaccinated. If you are feeling ill, or have any symptoms, please take a Covid test prior to the trip and do not travel if the test result is positive.
Trip Insurance
We strongly recommend the purchase of Trip Cancellation Insurance to cover your expenses in case of any injury or illness (including Covid) that may prevent you from traveling and losing your monies paid. Check with your personal health care provider/insurance company to see what is covered/not covered for you.
Comprehensive and affordable plans are also offered through a variety of travel insurance companies, and we suggest researching to find the one best for you. One is Travelex. You may want to consider a “Cancel for any reason” policy.

Frequently Asked Questions
In general, BSSC trips are designed for adults, 21 or older.*
For overnight travel the ages range from twenties to fifties, with a mix of couples, groups of friends, and singles travelling solo. Sometimes the more adventurous or strenuous the activity, the younger the crowd might skew. With exotic or more costly arrangements, you are likely to find a few more “well-seasoned travelers” mixed in as they check off their bucket list! BSSC trips are about us taking care of all the details, so you can just enjoy yourself, and perhaps experience something new, with like-minded people.
*The participation of minors is considered on a case by case basis at the discretion of the Ski & Travel Director. Minors are permitted on BSSC Day Ski & Snowboard trips. Check the day ski trip policies for more details.
Yes! BSSC makes it easy and economical for the solo traveler. Our lodging options are spelled out clearly for each trip giving you the choice of room that best fits your needs.
BSSC traditionally offers “minimum occupancy”. Whether in a hotel or condo, it is typically two per room, and you each get your own bed. Nobody has to sleep on a pullout or rollaway. Select trips may also offer lower prices for triple and quad occupancy.
Single rooms may be available upon request for an additional fee. If traveling solo, we will match you with a roommate of the same gender and approximate age, or you may request to room with a friend or significant other of any gender.
For BSSC overnight travel, booking 3-4 weeks in advance is recommended. For week-long vacations, book early to guarantee your spot and get the best rates. Ski vacations are usually announced in the summer at a $100-$150 savings. Check each trip for specific deadlines and policies. The closer the travel date, the more complex and costly it might be to procure accommodations and/or airfare.

Refunds are possible – policies vary depending on the type of trip and timing of your cancellation. The closer you are to departure, the less likely we will be able to refund you 100%. Cancellations are subject to the regulations and cancellation fees set by BSSC, tour operators, and agents carrying out services. There is no refund for unused services. Please check specific policies for your trip. We also recommend that vacationers purchase travel insurance and can provide more info upon request.
