Want to take a pampered, European-style ski vacation but do not have the time, budget, or appetite for a transatlantic flight? BSSC has lined up the perfect answer: an all-inclusive long weekend at Club Med Québec Charlevoix, set directly at the base of Le Massif in one of the most spectacular winter settings in eastern North America.
This trip is designed for people who want maximum experience in minimum time. In just a long weekend, you get ski-in/ski-out convenience, gourmet dining, a full open bar, lift access, ski instruction or guiding, resort entertainment, wellness amenities, and the relaxed social energy that makes Club Med such a favorite for group travel. It is indulgent, easy, and refreshingly efficient — the kind of ski weekend that feels like a full vacation.
Le Massif is the star of the mountain experience. Set above the St. Lawrence River, it offers one of the most surreal ski settings in North America, with trails that appear to drop toward the water and views that feel almost oceanic. The mountain delivers the highest vertical drop east of the Rockies, along with the kind of natural beauty that makes you stop mid-run just to take it all in.
The terrain is wonderfully varied. Beginners have dedicated areas to build confidence, intermediates can enjoy top-notch grooming and long cruising runs that seem to flow toward the river, and advanced skiers will find steep groomers, thigh-burning bumps, glades, off-piste terrain, and even a special out-of-bounds area on Mont-Ligouri. With 566 acres of skiable terrain, 53 on-piste trails, 160 acres of off-piste terrain, a 2,526-foot vertical drop, and a longest run of 3.2 miles, Le Massif packs a serious ski experience into a stunning and accessible package.
The setting is what makes it unforgettable. Few resorts anywhere offer this kind of mountain-and-river perspective. Skiing or riding Le Massif can feel like descending toward the sea, with the St. Lawrence stretching below and the Charlevoix landscape rising around you. It is a dramatic, distinctly French-Canadian winter experience — familiar enough to reach by car, yet different enough to feel like a true escape.
Then there is Club Med Québec Charlevoix. Located right at the base of the ski area, the resort delivers true ski-in/ski-out convenience and the all-inclusive ease Club Med is known for. Gourmet meals are included from dinner Thursday through lunch Sunday, along with a full open bar, a three-day lift pass, two days of ski instruction or guiding, nightly entertainment, and access to resort amenities including the indoor pool, hot tub, steam room, gym, fitness training, and spin classes.
After skiing, your day continues effortlessly. Take a few laps in the indoor pool, relax in the hot tub, unwind in the steam room, or settle in with snacks, music, and drinks before dinner. Evenings bring the full Club Med experience: generous dining, wine, cocktails, shows, DJs, dancing, and lively social energy — or, if you prefer, a quiet corner to relax and recharge for another day on the mountain.
For those who want even more from the weekend, Le Massif’s famous sledding experience is highly recommended. The resort offers an optional sledding adventure on a five-mile track, with afternoon and evening options that can include headlamps under the stars. It is one of those rare off-slope experiences that feels truly memorable and completely unique to the destination.
Drive or Fly Yourself Flexibility
This is a land-only, drive-or-fly-yourself event, giving you full control over your travel plans. The drive from Boston to Club Med Québec Charlevoix is approximately seven hours, making it very doable for a long-weekend road trip. To make the journey more relaxed, consider driving partway on Wednesday evening and overnighting in Magog, about four hours from Boston, before continuing to Charlevoix on Thursday. Another excellent option is Québec City, where you can spend the night, enjoy the city, or continue on toward Le Massif the next morning.
Guests who prefer to fly can arrange their own flights into Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport. Club Med Québec Charlevoix is just over an hour from Québec City, and private transfer options from the airport to the resort are available for travelers who prefer not to rent a car. Guests choosing this option should arrange flights and transfers independently and plan to arrive at Club Med in time for the Thursday evening group dinner.
On the return, travelers who want to extend the adventure can overnight near another ski area on the way home or build in an extra day of skiing. Possible routing options include stops near Burke, Jay Peak, Cannon, Loon, Stowe, Killington, or Sugarbush, depending on your preferred route and schedule. Or keep it simple: ski Sunday, enjoy lunch, depart by mid-afternoon, and head home after one unforgettable long weekend.
This trip is an incredible value for a luxury all-inclusive ski experience. In one compact package, you get lodging, meals, drinks, lift access, instruction or guiding, entertainment, wellness amenities, and the signature ease of Club Med — all in a dramatic French-Canadian setting that feels far more exotic than the travel time suggests.
Availability is limited for this special long-weekend escape. Step up and join BSSC for a ski weekend that combines French-Canadian charm, St. Lawrence River views, Le Massif’s unforgettable terrain, and the indulgent ease of Club Med Québec Charlevoix.

Optional Travel Planning Notes
This is a drive-or-fly-yourself trip. If you would like to break up the drive, extend your trip, or add more skiing, consider driving up Wednesday evening and overnighting in Magog, about four hours from Boston. On Thursday, enjoy the quaint lakeside town before continuing to Charlevoix, or wake up early and continue directly to Le Massif to ski on Thursday.
Another excellent option is to stay on Wednesday night in Québec City. Spend Thursday exploring the historic city, or wake up early and ski Mont-Sainte-Anne before continuing to Club Med.
On the way home Sunday, you may choose to overnight near another ski area and extend the adventure. Possible return-route ski options include Burke, Jay Peak, Cannon, Loon, Stowe, Killington, or Sugarbush, depending on your route and schedule.
Guests who prefer to fly may arrange flights into Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport. Club Med Québec Charlevoix is just over an hour from Québec City, and private shuttle or transfer options may be arranged independently. Flights, transfers, and any rental cars are not included in the package price.

Yes! BSSC makes it easy and economical for the solo traveler. Our lodging options are spelled out clearly for each trip giving you the choice of room that best fits your needs.
BSSC traditionally offers “minimum occupancy”. Whether in a hotel or condo, it is typically two per room, and you each get your own bed. Nobody has to sleep on a pullout or rollaway. Select trips may also offer lower prices for triple and quad occupancy.
Single rooms may be available upon request for an additional fee. If traveling solo, we will match you with a roommate of the same gender and approximate age, or you may request to room with a friend or significant other of any gender.
For BSSC overnight travel, booking 3-4 weeks in advance is recommended. For week-long vacations, book early to guarantee your spot and get the best rates. Ski vacations are usually announced in the summer at a $100-$150 savings. Check each trip for specific deadlines and policies. The closer the travel date, the more complex and costly it might be to procure accommodations and/or airfare.
Yes, most BSSC ski vacations may be booked without air from Boston. Before you book any portion of your vacation, call us for a quote and to discuss your possible flight schedule. If our trip includes transfers, you will need to coordinate times to meet the BSSC group or be responsible for getting yourself to the resort.
