Trip Overview

Sign up by July 31st to save $150

Come join BSSC for a magical trip to Telluride, Colorado — a destination that belongs on every serious skier’s list. Recognized internationally as one of the premier ski and snowboard destinations in North America, Telluride is legendary for all the right reasons: soaring San Juan Mountain scenery, extraordinary terrain, uncrowded slopes, a beautifully preserved historic town, and a level of mountain-town character that few resorts anywhere can match.

Nestled in a dramatic box canyon once associated with Butch Cassidy and the Old West, Telluride feels both cinematic and deeply authentic. It’s both rugged and refined at the same time — a place where massive peaks rise above Victorian streets, where world-class skiing meets an unpretentious alpine culture, and where every view feels almost impossibly grand. For skiers and riders seeking adventure, beauty, and a truly memorable setting, Telluride is one of the greats.

The skiing is just as impressive as the scenery. Telluride offers over 2,000 acres of terrain, 4,425 feet of vertical, 149 trails, and 17 lifts, with terrain for every level. While the resort is famous for its steeps, bowls, and bumps, nearly 40 percent of the mountain is glorious intermediate terrain. Skiers can spend the week enjoying corduroy cruisers, moderate glades, rolling bumps, short chutes, and long scenic descents that deliver one jaw-dropping view after another.

One of Telluride’s most beloved intermediate experiences is See Forever, a spectacular run stretching more than three miles with panoramic views that can reach all the way toward Utah’s La Sal Mountains. For advanced skiers and riders, The Plunge is a Telluride classic — a steep, dramatic black diamond descending toward the town with unforgettable views. Revelation Bowl offers a completely different thrill, with European-style high-alpine terrain above the tree line and an incredibly scenic setting for advanced and expert skiers.

All told, Telluride offers one of the most complete ski experiences on the continent. It has the challenge serious skiers crave, the scenic cruising intermediates dream about, and the kind of mountain beauty that makes even a simple lift ride feel remarkable. The resort’s blend of adventure, space, scale, and sophistication is what gives Telluride its almost mythic reputation.

Our accommodations make this trip even more special. We will be staying at Mountain Lodge Telluride, set above the historic mining town in Mountain Village with true ski-in/ski-out convenience. Step out the door and you are on your way. We will be staying in two- and three-bedroom condominium-style suites with full kitchens, shared living space, and the comfort and flexibility that make group ski travel easy. This is a tremendous value for a first-class Telluride experience — slopeside lodging, condo convenience, resort amenities, and BSSC group support all in one package.

Mountain Lodge Telluride is built for the way ski vacations should feel: relaxed, comfortable, social, and connected to the mountain. Enjoy the on-site restaurant and bar, outdoor heated pool, hot tubs, fitness center, steam room, ski lockers, onsite laundry, and free lodge shuttle. After skiing, unwind by the pool, soak in the hot tubs, gather with friends, or head out for après-ski in Mountain Village or town.

And then there is the gondola. The free gondola between Mountain Village and the town of Telluride is one of the most memorable transportation experiences in ski country. It is scenic, practical, and part of the magic of the destination. Ride it during the day for sweeping mountain views, or at dusk when the lights of Telluride begin to twinkle below. It operates late, making it easy to enjoy dinner, shopping, après-ski, and nightlife in town before returning to Mountain Village.

Each day is designed to be easy and flexible. Wake up in your slopeside condo, enjoy breakfast at your own pace, ski directly from Mountain Lodge, meet up with the group if you like, or explore the mountain independently. Trip leaders will coordinate daily ski meetups and lunch plans, while the group WhatsApp will keep everyone connected. After skiing, enjoy après-ski in the village or town, relax at the lodge, or head out for dinner and nightlife.

Telluride is on the Epic Pass, and lift passes are not included in the package price. Guests without a pass may purchase a five-day adult lift pass for $705. This allows passholders to take advantage of their existing access while keeping the trip flexible for non-passholders.

Airfare Options and Flexibility

The standard package price includes round-trip economy airfare from Boston to Montrose on United Airlines, along with group airport transfers between Montrose and Mountain Lodge Telluride. Luggage and ski fees are not included, and group airfare does not allow seat assignment or upgrade requests.

Prefer to use miles, upgrade independently, or arrange your own flights? A land-only option is available for $430 less than the full package price. Guests booking their own airfare may still take advantage of the included group transfers by arriving in Montrose before 1:45 PM on January 30 and departing Montrose after 2:40 PM on February 6. If your flights do not align with the group transfer schedule, you will need to arrange your own transportation to and from the resort at your own expense.

Availability is limited, and true ski-in/ski-out lodging in Telluride at this value is always in demand. Don’t miss your chance to experience one of the most breathtaking ski destinations in North America with BSSC — legendary terrain, slopeside comfort, unforgettable scenery, and a group-travel experience designed to make the week effortless.

Things to know

Frequently Asked Questions
On weekends and vacations, will there be people to ski with?

From intermediate to advanced, chances are very good there will be many people that ski at your level. The trip leader/s will arrange for those interested to ski together on the first morning to match up with same-level ability. Beginners may want to sign up for lessons.

What are the demographics on BSSC trips?

In general, BSSC trips are designed for adults, 21 or older.*
For overnight travel the ages range from twenties to fifties, with a mix of couples, groups of friends, and singles travelling solo. Sometimes the more adventurous or strenuous the activity, the younger the crowd might skew. With exotic or more costly arrangements, you are likely to find a few more “well-seasoned travelers” mixed in as they check off their bucket list! BSSC trips are about us taking care of all the details, so you can just enjoy yourself, and perhaps experience something new, with like-minded people.

*The participation of minors is considered on a case by case basis at the discretion of the Ski & Travel Director. Minors are permitted on BSSC Day Ski & Snowboard trips. Check the day ski trip policies for more details.

Is it easy to go on a BSSC trip by myself?

Yes! BSSC makes it easy and economical for the solo traveler. Our lodging options are spelled out clearly for each trip giving you the choice of room that best fits your needs.

What are the rooming arrangements for overnight weekend and vacation trips?

BSSC traditionally offers “minimum occupancy”. Whether in a hotel or condo, it is typically two per room, and you each get your own bed. Nobody has to sleep on a pullout or rollaway. Select trips may also offer lower prices for triple and quad occupancy.

Single rooms may be available upon request for an additional fee. If traveling solo, we will match you with a roommate of the same gender and approximate age, or you may request to room with a friend or significant other of any gender.

For overnight weekend and vacation trips, how far in advance do I need to register?

For BSSC overnight travel, booking 3-4 weeks in advance is recommended. For week-long vacations, book early to guarantee your spot and get the best rates. Ski vacations are usually announced in the summer at a $100-$150 savings. Check each trip for specific deadlines and policies. The closer the travel date, the more complex and costly it might be to procure accommodations and/or airfare.

Can I get my own air and book land only with BSSC?

Yes, most BSSC ski vacations may be booked without air from Boston. Before you book any portion of your vacation, call us for a quote and to discuss your possible flight schedule. If our trip includes transfers, you will need to coordinate times to meet the BSSC group or be responsible for getting yourself to the resort.
